Fourth annualglobal celebrations honouring one of Ireland’s greatest men
are set to be the biggest yet
GUINNESS® has today confirmed the headlineacts performing at the Arthur’s Day celebrations taking place around the world from27th to 28th September 2012. From theCaribbean to Cork and Spain to Singapore, more than 30 artistswill be performing, offering crowds of GUINNESS fans a remarkable experienceand a night to remember. The performances will set the tone for what is predicted to be the biggest Arthur’s Day celebration to date.
Stars such as Ellie Goulding, Mika, Professor Green, Fatboy Slim, Texas andAmy Macdonald will be performing in Ireland, the home of GUINNESS. Majorevents will also be happening in Ireland where over 500 live performances willtake place in every one of the country’s 32 counties.
Forthe first time ever, on 27th September, Great Britain joins theArthur’s Day global festivities with an extraordinary musiccelebration. Festivities in Jamaica will also return witha performance from a renowned reggae artist which will be live-streamed out toall the Caribbean islands.
In Singapore, fans will be enjoying a marathon of livemusic from some of the region’srenowned Mando-pop rock stars at the first Guinness Arthur’s Day Concert to beheld on 28th September at The MAX Pavilion, Singapore EXPO. Theyinclude powerful vocalist Shin (信), Golden Melody Award winnerGary Chaw (曹格), Paul Wong (黄贯中) from the former rock band Beyond and prominent singer Della Ding Dang (丁当).
Said Shin (信), with a special message for fans in Singapore, “Forthe past few years, Arthur’s Day has been held all over the world and it willbe coming to Singapore for the first time this year. I feel really honoured tobe able to be part of this global celebration together with artists Gary Chaw,Della Ding Dang and Paul Wong, so see you at the Guinness Arthur’s Day Concert on28th September!”
Tickets to the GuinnessArthur’s Day Concert, which are being sold at S$98,S$88 and S$78, can be purchased through SISTIC (http://www.sistic.com.sg). In addition, every purchase of an eight-can pack of GUINNESS ForeignExtra Stout will allow consumers to enjoy a S$60 discount on tickets bought asa pair to the event.
In Europe, a series of major artists will be performingfor fans in Spain, Germany and Italy offering a night of music andcelebrations, with Leiva, formerly amember of one of Spain’s biggest rock bands Pereza, returning to the Arthur’sDay stage this year, leading the Spanish festivities and performing a livecollaboration with an international artist.
Down under, Australia will be releasing a reworkedclassic Irish track in partnership with a well-known artist soon to beannounced. Voted for by fans, thewinning track will be made available to purchase.
